Description
Plexon preamplifiers can be used as a preamplifier with the Multichannel Acquisition
Processor (MAP) or as a stand-alone amplifier for neural signals. Plexon preamplifiers accommodate up to 64 channels of spike or field potential
signals or a combination of both, depending on the configuration, as well as EEG, EMG and wide band preamp boards.
Filter referencing and cut offs. All filter cutoffs can be customized according to the researcher's requirements.
Optional Designs: Two preamplifier designs are available.
- A single-pole filtering design with programmable referencing via cross-point switches
- A multi-pole filtering design
Preamplifiers with multi-pole filtering
are recommended for improved rejection of high frequency noise (for example,
magnetic eye coil signals).
The following illustration shows a preamplifier
with 16 spike channels and 16 LFP signals.
